Make Yours Magical – Wallace Bishop
In retail, especially the jewellery market, Christmas campaigns often begin months before the big day. So, to remain competitive in the busy Christmas period, Wallace Bishop challenged McCann Queensland to develop a campaign and strategy to cut through the clutter, create differentiation, and drive an increase of website and in-store visitation throughout a 10-week campaign period. There’s no right or wrong way to celebrate Christmas, you choose to do whatever suits you, tailoring the celebration to make it unmistakably ‘yours’. ‘Make yours Magical’, the Christmas campaign that promotes Wallace Bishop as the place to shop for Christmas, with gift ideas and holiday rewards that’ll truly make anyone’s Christmas magical.
My role was to develop the campaign's creative visual direction and roll it out over various assets for the 2019 Christmas period. These included various cuts of the 30" TVC, where I was in charge of the design, styling and visual direction, working along side the videographer, client and talent. The catalogue photography was also shot on the day, which included styling and directing the talent for both hero and additional shots to feature throughout the catalogue. The campaign was also rolled out over multiple print assets, both in-store and OOH, plus digital screens, SEM banners, social tiles and EDMs with varying messages for different phases of the campaign.
